Freelance Community Engagement Consultant

A 3-month opportunity with the possibility of an extension.
We seek to appoint an experienced freelancer/consultant in community engagement, and youth work to establish a new creative programme that influences cultural decision-making across the district.

Applications close at 9 am on Monday 28 April 2025

Online interviews will take place on Thursday 1 May from 9 am - 5 pm and we expect the contract to commence from Monday 5 May until Friday 1 August 2025, unless extended.

Community Engagement and Programme Manager

We are looking for someone passionate about empowering community decision-making to influence our district's cultural and creative future.  In this role, you will lead a bold and inclusive approach to supporting and empowering our three core communities through projects designed with and for communities in Chelmsford.

First stage interviews with a panel will be on Thursday 15 May in Chelmsford.

Second-stage interviews will be held in person in Chelmsford on Thursday 22 May, and will include a presentation. The presentation topic will be supplied to shortlisted candidates on Friday, 16 May.
