Cultural Connectors
A network of local people who are trusted and active within their communities
Cultural connectors play key roles in their communities, they are respected, trusted and well-known for bringing people together to create and share new cultural experiences. They each share our passion for culture and creativity and how both can transform peoples lives and the places they live.
The Cultural Connectors help shape and expand access to opportunities in arts, culture, and heritage to support the delivery of the Cultural Strategy and how we work with our Cultural Partners in co-developing new, community-focussed cultural programmes.
To date they have:
Shaped a Community Engagement Framework and devised their Terms of Reference.
Assisted our most successful Trustee recruitment round, enabling us to realise our long-term ambition of appointing community members and young people as Trustees.
Supported Spark! in the delivery of their Young Cultural Changemakers Programme in engaging district-wide communities in collaborative projects to support cultural decision making, the development of new skills and increased community cohesion.
We are currently fundraising to support new programme delivery. If you are interested in supporting our work, please get in touch [Link]
